Wrotham

Wrotham is a village located in Kent, famous for it’s 13th Century church of St George and more recently for its large amounts of pubs. Located around two miles outside of Wrotham is another village called Wrotham Heath – which is a different village altogether but is often confused with ‘Wrotham’.

Wrotham was the first location in Britain to have an FM broadcasting transmitter circa 1955 and to this day carries the main FM radio to London.

As with many small villages in Kent, Wrotham displays tell tale signs of Roman occupation with the likes of a very specific Pinot Noir grape that can be found in the Wrotham Churchyard, said to be descended from vines imported by the Romans.

Nearby attractions include: Great Comp Garden, Coldrum Longbarrow, Old Soar Manor, St Leonards Tower, Ightham Mote and much more.

Some of the nearest towns to Wrotham within a 10 mile radius are: Sevenoaks, Ightham, Maidstone and Aylesford.
