Wilmslow

Wilmslow is a town in the historic county of Cheshire, in North West England. It is located to the south of Manchester between Alderley Edge and Handforth. The area is best known for the discovery of the Iron Age "Lindow Man", in nearby Lindow Moss, which was preserved in the peat bogs for over 2000 years.

This is an area that offers numerous scenic walks, a network of canals and waterways, cobbled villages and countless listed buildings. Wilmslow is one of a knot of pleasant semi-rural local towns and villages, which provide excellent holiday accommodation, countless pub-restaurants and varied entertainment, making this a very enjoyable location from which to explore the sites and attractions of Cheshire. Wilmslow, and neighbouring Alderley Edge, are famous for their affluence, and high living costs, including a selection of very expensive designer boutiques and five-star restaurants. It is home to numerous Premiership footballers, WAGs, actors and multi-millionaire entrepreneurs.

Popular attractions in the area include Chester Cathedral, Chester Zoo, Gulliver's World Theme Park, and the National Waterways Museums, to name only a few.
