Whitstable

The seaside town of Whitstable in the garden county of Kent is a fishing port that is famed for its oysters that have been collected here since at least Roman times. In 1830 one of the earliest train services came here and by 1832 line was extended to the harbour, making the port easy to get to for Londoners.
