Whipton

Whipton is a village within the city of Exeter, in Devon, South West England. It is situated conveniently in the heart of this famous tourist region known for its scenic countryside, rolling valley landscapes and miles of sandy beaches. This is a location that affords a peaceful village base within the vibrant cathedral city and county town of Exeter; while the port city of Plymouth and the Torbay seaside resorts, are also close at hand. Devon as a whole is a very rural part of the country, with a relatively low population density, characterised by rolling green valley landscapes, dense woodlands and cobbled villages. It is home to part of England's only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast, on the Dorset and East Devon coastline; as well as to the Braunton Burrows UNESCO Biosphere Reserve; Bodmin Moor, and the Dartmoor and Exmoor national parks.

Popular attractions in the county include the Exeter Cathedral, Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter's Underground Passages, Powderham Castle, the Spacex Gallery, and the Crealy Great Adventure Park, to name only a select few.
