West Hill

The area of West Hill is a part of the popular resort towns of Brighton and Hove in the pretty county of East Sussex. Set on the hill that rises west from Brighton railway station, this is a protected conservation area amidst outstanding natural scenery. The Brighton Railway Station here is a Grade II listed building that was built by the London and Brighton Railway in 1840 in order to connect Brighton to Shoreham-by-Sea, westwards along the coast and later, to London Bridge.

Although West Hill is mainly residential, there are ample shops, amenities, eateries and pubs in the area and of course, all the delights of the seaside offered by Brighton and Hove. For those with a love of outdoor activities and nature, West Hill is perfectly placed to enjoy scenic walks complete with diverse wildlife, flora and fauna along with spectacular views of the surrounding area.
