West Burton

West Burton is a pretty village of Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales of North Yorkshire, in England. It neighbours the picturesque village of Addingham and the hamlets of Walden and Walden Head, where visitors will find the attractive Cauldron falls. 

The Wensleydale region is known for the Semer Water lake, which is a high moorland lake popular for boating, water-skiing and fishing. The ancient villages and bustling market towns of the area are popular visitor destinations owing to the many scenic walks in the area and due to their fascinating histories, idyllic locations and simple but pleasing facilities, which include several traditional pubs, shops, tearooms, and hotels. 

Another popular town of the region is Richmond, which shares its name with King Richard III who grew up in the town at Middleham Castle. The ruins of the castle are still visible and are a sought after location for family picnics.
