Trearddur Bay

The seaside village of Trearddur Bay is located on Holy Island off the coast of Anglesey, Wales and connected via an embankment and bridges that carry national road and rail links. This beautiful coastal area attracts visitors who come for the wonderful attractions and natural beauty of the island with its rich and diverse flora, fauna and wildlife. The main Blue Flag beach here is considered one of the best on Anglesey as is both vast and clean; offering plenty of water sports, including canoeing, surfboarding and water skiing in the summer months. The name ‘Trearddur Bay’ is derived from the Welsh ‘Arthur's Town’.

Trearddur Bay has ample amenities and shops as well as some attractions but the close proximity of Holyhead means there is plenty of additional choice locally. There are few restaurants, eateries and pubs along with two wonderful beaches to enjoy; Porth Dafarch and the main beach. Water activities are popular here with some shallow scuba diving sites, excellent sea fishing and scenic coastal walks that take in the beauty of the bay.
