Threshfield

Threshfield is one of a knot of pretty little villages in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, in England, neighbouring Grassington and the beautiful Linton Falls.

There is a very popular scenic walk that starts in neighbouring Wharfedale and follows an ancient viking path along the River Wharfe. The river features the distinctive Hebden Bridge and the picturesque grade II listed Tadcaster Viaduct.

The village itself is small and very rural but has ample local amenities, including a few convenience shops and a traditional pub. The area is a popular visiting place for walkers, trout fishing enthusiasts, and family picnics. Other attractions of the area include: the ruins of the Augustinian Bolton Priory in the Bolton Abbey Estate of Wharfedale; the geographically significant features of Malham, including the Gordale Scar and Malham Cove; Kilnsey Crag, which is a popular rock-climbing challenge; the Three Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales; and the Ribblehead Viaduct.
