Threlkeld

The village of Threlkeld lies at the foot of Blencathra Fell in the picturesque county of Cumbria, just north of the River Glenderamackin. Threlkeld has a long history and an Iron Age settlement was discovered here, revealing that the village has been inhabited for over 2,700. The village grew and prospered with farming and mining and by the 19th century Threlkeld was well established and increasing in population.
