Thorpe Bay

Thorpe Bay is a suburb of Southend-on-Sea in Essex, located on the Thames Estuary, near the English capital, London. This is an attractive and historically fascinating town, that was originally named Thorpe, but was renamed Thorpe Bay due to its pretty seaside location. Its main shopping area The Broadway, offers a varied parade of shops and restaurants, set amid ornate Victorian architecture, as well as excellent transport links, and a good choice of holiday accommodation, including several local caravan parks, hotels and guest houses, and a varied selection of pubs and restaurants.

Popular attractions in the area include Colchester Castle, Colchester Zoo, Waltham Abbey, Mangapps Railway Museum, Epping Forest, and Hedingham Castle, to name only a handful, along with all the sites and attractions of London, just a stone's throw away.
