Tenterden is a small town in Kent, England, overlooking the valley of the River Rother. The area around the town that is now Romney Marsh was once under tidal waters, enabling port access. This caused the town to grow as a result of its contributions in the wool industry.
Tenterden's wide tree-lined High Street has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. A select few examples of the many notable attractions of the area include the Kent & East Sussex Railway, the Tenterden Folk Festival, Hever Castle — the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Rochester Cathedral, and the Enchanted Forest at Groombridge Place.
