Teeside

Teesside is a conurbation in the North East of England made up of the following towns located around the North-East coast of England as well as the surrounding smaller settlements:

• Billingham
• Middlesbrough
• Stockton-on-Tees
• Eston and South Bank
• Ingleby Barwick
• Redcar
• Thornaby

Several of the towns are popular tourist destinations, while others are very urban and newly developing towns such as Middlesbrough, which features a very popular university and varied nightlife. The area is popular with walkers and traditional holiday makers, for its convenient beach-side towns and access to the neighbouring North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The Tees Estuary is also home to a colony of breeding seals.
