Talsarnau

The village of Talsarnau in Gwynedd, Wales is within the majestic Snowdonia National Park, surrounded by stunning scenery and diverse wildlife, flora and fauna. The Snowdonia National Park has been established since 1951 and has an unusual ‘hole’ in the middle, around the nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog slate quarrying centre, just a few miles from Talsarnau. Nearby too is the iconic village of Portmeirion with its unique blend of architectural styles including Welsh, baroque and Italian.

 

Talsarnau has few amenities but is in close proximity to more developed towns and villages that offer an excellent choice of shops, ample amenities, eateries and pubs. The location of Talsarnau amidst beautiful countryside and dramatic coastlines is what brings visitors to enjoy the wealth of adventures on offer. Outdoor enthusiasts, walkers and bird-watchers enjoy the natural attractions here and anglers in particular come for the excellent fishing in the area including nearby Lake Trawsfynydd with trout, perch and rainbow to be caught
