Takeley

Takeley is a small village of Norman origin near the market town of Bishop's Stortford, on the eastern extremity of Hertfordshire in England, on the Essex-Hertfordshire border. It is situated conveniently close London Stansted Airport, with good road and rail links to the capital by which much of the population commutes. 

One popular local attraction is the Rhodes Arts Complex, is a state-of-the-art entertainment venue in neighbouring Bishop's Stotford that houses a theatre, a cinema, a dance studio, and conference facilities, as well as the house where Cecil Rhodes was born, which is now the Bishop's Stortford Museum. The museum exhibits a local history collection, as well as a dedicated collection relating to the life of Cecil Rhodes and British colonialism in Africa. Other attractions in the area include the impressive and historical Waltham Abbey, Hatfield House, and The Museum of Every Day Life in Roman Britain.
