Tadcaster

Tadcaster is an attractive and vibrant market town in the Selby district of North Yorkshire, England. Conveniently situated on the Great North Road, neighbouring Leeds and York, the town is a popular visiting spot from which to enjoy the wider North Yorkshire region. The town is famous for the Tadcaster Viaduct, which is a striking viaduct of eleven arches spanning the River Wharfe, just up-river from the Wharfe Bridge. The viaduct is a grade II listed building, which although it was still very young when it became obsolete, remains a much-loved feature of the local landscape.

York Minster, JORVIK York and the National Railway Museum are just a few of the attractions in the immediate area, with Flamingo Land Theme Park & Zoo, Eden Camp and Castle Howard being among the many others within easy reach.

The North Yorkshire region as a whole is a very attractive and historical landscape of rivers, moors and ancient rural villages, which is an extremely pleasant visiting place for walkers and fishing enthusiasts, as well for that traditional English family holiday filled with fun, intrigue and adventure.
