Strensall

Strensall is a pretty village on the River Foss, just north of York in the North East of England.

York Minster, JORVIK York and the National Railway Museum are just a few of the attractions in the immediate area, with Flamingo Land Theme Park & Zoo, Eden Camp and Castle Howard being among the many others within easy reach. With a number of shops, restaurants and quality places to stay in the village, Stillington offers an excellent vantage point from which to explore the best of North Yorkshire.

The North Yorkshire region as a whole is a very attractive and historical landscape of rivers, moors and ancient rural villages, which is an extremely pleasant visiting place for walkers and fishing enthusiasts, as well for that traditional English family holiday filled with fun, intrigue and adventure.

Also nearby is the Strensall Common, which is a Special Area of Conservation, as an example of lowland heathland habitat that covers over 5 kmĀ².
