St Michaels

St Michael's on Wyre is a small village in Lancashire, England. It is situated on the River Wyre. The village has a pub, a car garage and the nearby Myerscough College. The village is centred on the church of St Michael's which was founded before AD 640. One of only two Grade I listed buildings in the Borough of Wyre, the nave and the chancel date from the 14th century, with the tower dating from the 16th century. Although St Michael's is very small in itself, it is a pleasant place to visit and to enjoy the Lancashire countryside, with many popular fishing ponds in the area as well as a large number of popular walkers routes.
