Spennymoor

Spennymoor is a town in County Durham, in North-East England. It is situated high in the Wear Valley, near Durham. It is one of a knot of small towns and villages in this scenic valley region of County Durham, featuring countless county walks and a trove of beauty spots and sites of historical interest, including Whitworth Hall, which dates from the 12th century. It is now home to the Whitworth Hall Hotel but still features a large deer park and walled garden, for which the estate is well known.

Overall, this is a pleasant and peaceful location that provides easy access to all of the sites and attractions of the North-East. The local area offers good retail prospects and various entertainment venues, along with a choice of holiday accommodation to suit most requirements.
