Sorbie

Sorbie is a small village in the council area of Dumfries and Galloway, in south-west Scotland. It is prettily located mid-way between the towns of Wigtown and Whithorn. Local landmark, the Sorbie Tower is an early medieval motte, which and the ancient seat of the Clan Hannay, and is now in the care of Historic Scotland Visitors can view the tower by enquiring in the village shop, at Garlieston Village. The village occupies a convenient location close to the Wigtown Bay, and within a short drive of the Galloway Forest Park, and the many lochs and ancient landmarks of this beautiful and historic county.

Attractions in the area include the Whithorn Priory & Museum, Creetown Gem and Rock Museum, Cardoness Castle, and the Newton Stewart Museum.
