Sedbergh

The small, quaint town of Sedbrgh is in the beautiful county of Cumbria and within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The area is diverse and beautiful, attracting walkers, cyclists and nature lovers to this town at the foot of the Howgill Fells and on the banks of the River Rawthey. The parish church of St. Andrew's dates from the 12th century and there are the remains of a motte and bailey castle believed to date from Saxon times but it wasn’t really until the coming of the railways in the 19th century, that Sedbrgh experienced growth.

Sedbergh has amenities, eateries, pubs and shops along its narrow main street that is surrounded by the hills that bring the visitors.  Horse riding, cycling, walking, bird watching, climbing and other outdoor activities are all well catered for here and the stunning surrounding area offers a wealth of visitor attractions and places of interest.
