Scotby is an English village within the City of Carlisle in Cumbria, just the over the M6 motorway from Carlisle. Wetheral, Aglionby, and Cumwhinton are also close by. The village follows a very traditional layout featuring a village green at its heart around which are situated the village hall, a general shop, the Royal Oak pub, and a hairdresser.
As well as providing ease of access to the Lake District National Park, the village of Scotby also offers an excellent base from which to explore the historic north of the county, including the local attractions of Carlisle Cathedral, Hardian's Wall, Caslisle Castle, Border Reivers Cycle Trail, and the Birdsowald Roman Fort.
