Scalby

Scalby is lovely old Yorkshire fishing village on the north-eastern coast of England. It is located only 3 miles north of the popular seaside resort of Scarborough, with its looming cliff-top castle. Scalby Beck flows between the two, and it, and the Old Scalby Mills are now very popular visiting points for walkers. The older part of the village features a small but busy High Street. The village is also home to two traditional pubs, a newsagents and village store, and two restaurants, along with a number of quality Bed & Breakfasts, hotels and holiday cottages — the most prominent of which is Wrea Head Country Hotel, built in 1881.
