Rhyl

Lively and exciting aptly describe Rhyl, with so many visitor attractions to choose from. The SeaQuarium, is where you can experience a stroll along the seabed surrounded by sharks, rays and other ocean creatures. The Sun Centre is an indoor tropical water park, with no end of features and daredevil waterslides. The Ocean Beach Funfair and Palace Fun Centre too are packed full of delights from amusements, to slides and thrills. If you like heights, why not try the unique Skytower with its bird's eye view over Rhyl and the breathtaking scenery beyond. With the marine lake, miniature railway, botanical gardens, tennis, golf and bowling, you will find your days very full. As to the nights, with theatres, Karaoke nights, galleries, restaurants, pubs and exciting clubs, you can be entertained till the small hours.

But Rhyl has another side too, the natural side. North Wales is an astounding place for lovers of the great outdoors, with a backdrop of the dramatic Snowdonia mountain range, lakes, legends, history and castles, there is so much to explore. The northern end of the famous Offa's Dyke National Trail, in nearby Prestatyn is the perfect base for walking enthusiasts to discover North Wales. The Offa's Dyke Interpretation Centre should be your first place to visit before exploring the dramatic Prestatyn hillside and onto the Clwydian Range.

Rhyl is simply the best starting point for enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery and fascinating attractions in North Wales. Within a short distance you can see the impressive castles at Rhuddlan and Denbigh and one of the smallest ancient cathedrals in Britain at St Asaph. At nearby Bodelwyddan you can visit the amazing Marble Church. Slightly further afield are the castles of Dinas Bran at Llangollen or the famous Caernarfon Castle, where Prince Charles was invested in 1969.

Stately homes too abound, such as Bodelwyddan Castle with its magnificent gardens, Bodrhyddan Hall near Rhyl and Plas Newydd at Llangollen. Or perhaps the children might feel a shiver down their spines at the notorious Ruthin Goal.

Wales is famous for its Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Rhyl is at the heart of it all. Once you have visited and felt the welcome, we know you will be back to stay.

Rhyl offers three miles of golden sands and nearby Prestatyn has four miles of sands. Our seasonal lifeguard patrols at Rhyl give added reassurance for the safety of your children and records show that Rhyl and Prestatyn summers are hotter and sunnier than the U.K. average, so you can count on plenty of beautiful days to enjoy.

For those with a love of golf, we are close to many great clubs including the Rhuddlan golf club which is set in the beautiful vale of Denbighshire, the course gently undulating over parkland of 6291 yards, provides an excellent test of golf. The Rhuddlan is the course regularly chosen for county and national Championship events.
