Rhos On Sea

Rhos-on-Sea is a seaside resort in the Welsh county of Conwy. It is located on the outskirts of the larger and better known resort town of Colwyn Bay, in north Wales. Its is overlooked by the hill named Bryn Euryn, where stand the remains of a hillfort called Dinerth, or "fort of the bear".

The most notable feature of Rhos is its 6th century St Trillo's Church, which was the historic mother church of a large parish, and is at the site of a pre-Christian holy well. The current altar is built directly over it. The graveyard of the nearby Llandrillo yn Rhos Church is the resting place of Harold Lowe, who served as an officer on the RMS Titanic.
