Prestatyn is a seaside resort town in the county of Denbighshire, in North Wales. It is situated on the Irish Sea coast, neighbouring its sister resort town of Rhyl. This is a traditional family resort, with clean and scenic sandy beaches and the obligatory seafront amusements that have recently undergone redevelopment to appeal to more modern tastes. The town also has a new cinema complex, theatre venue and shopping centre.
"Sunny Prestatyn" is located at the northern end of the Offa's Dyke Path, which makes it a popular rest-point for walkers. It is also at the eastern end of the North Wales Path, which is a long-distance coastal route that ends at Bangor. Other popular attractions include the remains of Roman baths and the nearby Neolithic mound, The Gop.
