Penarth

Penarth is a town and seaside resort of the Vale of Glamorgan, in Wales, only 5 miles from the Welsh capital city of Cardiff. The town's position on the Severn Estuary made it a very popular Victorian tourist resort, known as “The Garden by the Sea”. It is characterised by its predominantly Victorian and Edwardian architecture, which makes the town very appealing to visitors.

Penarth retains its traditional seafront and is still a very popular summer holiday destination, largely due to the number of retired visitors who have returned to the town periodically for decades.

Attractions of the local area include the Penarth Marina and the Cosmeston Medieval Village by the Country Park.
