North Walsham is a town in the English county of Norfolk. It was once formerly a traditional market market town and a focal point in the Norfolk agricultural industry, where the English naval hero, Horatio Nelson was educated. However, Nelson left the local grammar school to join the navy at only eleven years of age. The town enjoys an enviable location on the North Walsham & Dilham Canal, which follows River Ant to Honing, and so is a popular destination for visitors exploring Norfolk by boat. The town offers a good range of amenities, a choice of well-regarded pubs and restaurants, and close proximity to a number of popular attractions, including Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, and the Cromer Museum.
