Newtonmore

The village of Newtonmore in the Highlands of Scotland is in an area known as Monarch Country; the area of the Scottish Highlands that featured in the BBC One drama series ‘Monarch of the Glen’. The village is in a stunning natural setting, amidst woodland above the flood plain of the River Spey, in Britain's largest National Park - The Cairngorms. Walkers, outdoor enthusiasts and those looking to explore the diverse flora, fauna and wildlife are drawn here and enjoy the many walks with the backdrop of The Monadhliath Mountains in the distance.

Newtonmore offers a great choice of accommodation, eateries, pubs, amenities and attractions as well as easy access and a central location that make it ideal for those wanting to explore the region. Newtonmore is a wonderfully traditional Highland village where walkers on the Newtonmore 'Wildcat Trail' can enjoy a 10 km orbital walk around the outer edge of the village; taking in the delights of the Rivers Spey and Calder as well as panoramic views across to the Cairngorms. Newtonmore is within a few miles of the geographical centre of Scotland.
