Much Hoole

Much Hoole is a village in the South Ribble of Lancashire in England. This is a moderately sized village of over 1,000 people and is a very popular visiting place for walkers of the area due to it's pretty scenery and historical points of interest. Such as the Jacobean Carr House, which is currently being restored.  It here that in 1639, astronomer Jeremiah Horrocks first observed the Transit of Venus from Carr House. There are also the remains of a medieval moat and settlement by Town Lane.

Much Hoole's excellent location near to Preston makes the village an excellent place from which to enjoy the best of Lancashire.
