Morley

Morley is a civil parish in the English county of Derbyshire, near Derby. It is on the eastern edge of Morley Moor, and south of Morley Smithy. Morley is a conveniently situated and popular place that is characterised, like much of the area, by the impact of industry, due to region's abundance of lead and limestone. The area became a hot spot for water mills and canal ways, which now serve as scenic walking routes and waterways for the tourist industry.

Popular attractions in the area include theme parks such as Alton Towers and Gullivers; Conkers and Rosliston Forestry, in the National Forest; stately homes, such as the renowned Chatsworth House and Gardens, and Hardwick Hall; anf the various industrial heritage sites such as the Derwent Valley Mills, and the caverns of the beautiful Dove Valley.
