Morland is a large English village nestled among the picturesque landscape of the aptly named Eden Valley in Cumbria. The Morland Beck flows through the village, which includes the hamlets of Town Head and Morland Moor, which is just one of numerous local fishing locations. The area is characterised by its rural charm, rolling valleys and waterways, along with a much more relaxed atmosphere than the heavily tourist-centric towns and villages of Lake District , while still affording ease of access to all of the natural beauty spots and attractions for which Cumbria is renowned.
Morland itself features a traditional pub, the Crown Inn, an outdoor clothing and accessories shop for the convenience of the good walking and outdoor pursuits the area offers, and a pleasant family café. The town's Church of St Lawrence is the only one in Cumbria to boast a saxon tower.
