Marton

Marton is a small and traditional village in the English county of Lincolnshire. It is located by an ancient Roman Road, as a vestige of a period when it was used as a Roman way station, neighbouring a fort at Torksey. The village features a Norman and Anglo-Saxon church dedicated to Saint Margaret of Antioch. It includes an 11th century towera Saxon cross shaft, and an ancient carved crucifix inside. 

 

This is an attractive and convenient location near to the county town of Lincoln, that offers an excellent vantage point from which to enjoy the sites and attractions of Lincolnshire, with good shopping prospects, various entertainment venues and a good choice of quality holiday accommodation. Popular attractions in the area include Bourne Abbey, Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Cathedral, Thornton Abbey, and Natureland Seal Sanctuary, to name only a handful.
