Marazion

The coastal town of Marazion in the scenic county of Cornwall looks out over the English Channel and provides a causeway to the famous St. Michaels Mount. The Mount lies around a half mile offshore and can be reached at low-water by the causeway and at high water, by passenger boat. Marazion may be the oldest in Britain although this has yet to be confirmed. Competing with places like Colchester for the title, Marazion was written about in 77 AD by the Roman writer, Pliny the Elder. All the history and heritage has created a charming and picturesque place that attracts artists and visitors

Marazion is a popular tourist resort and with its active community of artists, has lots of lovely local works on sale in the many galleries here; with a broad choice of attractive paintings and pottery. Golden, sandy beaches, stunning views, ample amenities, lovely walks, plenty of shops, eateries and pubs all contribute to this wonderful destination. Mount's Bay is known as one of the most beautiful bays in the world and the activity here continues year-round with windsurfing, kite-surfing and sailing.
