Mamhilad

Mamhilad is a village in Monmouthshire, in south east Wales. This is a small but comfortable village in a pretty location along the Brecon Canal. There are two traditional local pubs, a small knot of convenience shops, and a good choice of holiday accommodation both in and around the local area. Mahilad is a close neighbour of the town of Pontypool in an area that developed largely around the coal mining, and steel and iron production industries of the region, and so boasts excellent transport links that now make it an excellent commuter base and tourist destination, with ease of access to the whole of South Wales.

Things to see and do in the region include The Griffithstown Railway Museum, the Blaenavon World Heritage Site, Pontypool Ski Centre, and Pontymoile Day Boat Hire. There are also a number of bike hire sites to cater for excellent cycling routes in Tofaen, and Ticken's Trekking provides horse and pony rides throughout the local area for riders of all ages and experience levels.
