Llanrug

The large village of Llanrug in Gwynedd, Wales lies on the banks of Afon Seiont on the heath between majestic mountains and sea. From the village, the outstanding views are of Snowdonia and take in The Carneddau, Glyderau, Snowdon, Crib Goch and Moel Eilio. Llanrug and the surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty attract outdoor enthusiasts, walkers and climbers as well as those with an interest in the slate mining industry that thrived here from the 18th century. To the south of the village is the rise of Cefn Du and to the south-east lays Snowdon with its neighbouring summits; surrounding Llanrug with an amazing choice of outdoor adventures to be enjoyed by walkers and climbers as well as anglers, golfers, bird-watchers, cyclists and riders.
