The large village of Liphook in the county of Hampshire also contains the village of Bramshott and lies in a beautiful area where the county of Hampshire meets the county of West Sussex. From around the 17th century, Liphook was a place where travellers would rest on their journeys between London and Portsmouth and it was this that brought trade and development to the village. The surrounding area is renowned for its rich and varied woodlands and colourful heaths that rise to nearly 700 feet above sea level. Walkers and outdoor enthusiasts as well as bird-watchers and nature lovers come to enjoy the diverse scenery and opportunity to enjoy outdoor pursuits.
Liphook offers ample amenities, shops, eateries and pubs as well as plenty to see, do and enjoy within the surrounding area. The Hollycombe Steam Collection is a popular nearby visitor attraction with a collection of steam-powered vehicles, rides and attractions including a fairground, display farm and two railways. The town has held a vibrant carnival each year since 1903, on 'the night the clocks go back' in October. The Liphook Carnival is a well-loved event in the village with a procession of floats followed by a bonfire.
