Leven is a seaside resort town in the Scottish council area of Fife. It is situated the Firth of Forth, at the mouth of the River Leven, from which it gets its name, and neighbours Methil and Buckhaven, along with the inland settlements of Kennoway and Windygates. Altogether, these towns form the Levenmouth conurbation, which is an area where the tourism revolves largely around golf enthusiasm. Leven itself boasts two well-regarded golf courses, the Scoonie and Leven Links, the latter of which is used as a qualifying course for "The Open". The town offers very good amenities, exciting shopping prospects, and a varied choice of holiday accommodation.
Popular attractions in the area include the Fife Folk Museum, Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse & Garden, John McDouall Stuart Museum, and Falkland Palace.
