Leominster is a market town in Herefordshire, England, neighbouring Hereford and Ludlow. It is the second largest town in the county, and is located at the confluence of the River Lugg and its tributary the River Kenwater. It is notably the historical home of Ryeland sheep, famed for its "Lemster" wool, which was the premium wool for trade with the continent of Europe in the Middle Ages and brought prosperity to the town.
Leominster was the location of one of the last punishments by ducking stool, in 1809. The ducking stool is now on public display in Leominster Priory and is depicted on the town clock.
Popular local attractions include Croft Castle, Berrington Hall, Leominster Folk Museum, Broadfield Court, and Burford House Gardens.
