Leigh-on-Sea is a part of Southend-on-Sea, in Essex, England. Neighbouring ancient Colchester, the town is situated in an area known for its settlement by pre-historic human tribes and for its rural charm and historic points of interest. It is noted in the Domesday book as a fishing settlement but has since developed as a seaside resort along side its heritage in the shipbuilding industry. It is bordered to the north by Rochford and to the west by Castle Point. It features a pier and the Never Neverland Victorian Bandstand.
