Langwathby

Langwathby is a village in the north of the famous tourist region of Cumbria, in England. It neighbours Penrith, on the banks of the aptly named River Eden, in the Eden Valley district.

There is a good choice of holiday accommodation in the local area, ranging from self-catering cottages to youth hostels, guest houses and caravan parks, from which to take advantage of a quiet little spot in the midst of such a busy destination.

The working ostrich farm, "Eden Ostrich World", at Langwathby Hall is a popular local attraction, while the wider local area offers attractions such as the Hutton in the Forest Historic House, the Ullswater Steamer rides over the lake, Penrith Castle, the Norman Brougham Castle, the Penrith Museum.
