Knott End

Knott End-on-Sea is a village in Lancashire, England, on the southern side of Morecambe Bay. Positioned on the edge of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, Knott End is a lovely place to visit and and an excellent vantage point from which to explore the Lancashire outdoors in the Lune Valley, the Forest of Bowland, and Arnside. The Viking Graves at Heysham are a very popular visitor attraction as the fascinating rock-hewn graves stand high up on the remote cliff-tops, with views of the rolling landscape of the Lake District peaks beyond. The nearby ancient church of Saint Patrick is also full of history and intrigue.

The village is the main commercial centre for the Over Wyre area, with a variety of shops and cafés, and a traditional pub the "Bourne Arms". There are regular buses from Knott End to the seaside resort of Blackpool, and the famous Pleasure Beach Theme Park and Blackpool Zoo; as well as to Lancaster, to witness the historic castle and grounds, museums and vibrant nightlife.
