Kirkinner

Kirkinner is a village in the Dumfries and Galloway council area of south-western Scotland, located between Wigtown to Whithorn. The village occupies a scenic and peaceful part of the county, surrounded by small gentle green hills, known as the drumlins of the Machars. It is also very close to the shoreline of Wigtown Bay, while the nearby old castle of Baldoon is thought to have inspired of part of Sir Walter Scott's "The Bride of Lammermoor".

The area is rich in cultural and historical interest, with attractions that include Whithorn Priory & Museum, Creetown Gem and Rock Museum, Cardoness Castle, Newton Stewart Museum, and Glenluce Abbey, to name only a handful.
