Kings Sutton

King's Sutton is an attractive village among a knot of hamlets in the south of the English county of Northamptonshire. It is situated in the scenic valley of the River Cherwell, neighbouring Banbury, which is over the border in the county of Oxfordshire. The parish includes the hamlets of Astrop contiguous with eastern end of King's Sutton and Upper Astrop about 1 mile (1.6 km) north-east. The town is notable for the Blacklands Roman town, which is next to the village, and where coins from the 4th century AD have been recovered. This is a pleasant location for visitors seeking a restful vantage point from which to explore the the sites and attractions of both Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. Attractions in the area include Broughton Castle, Brook Cottage Garden, and Sulgrave Manor.
