Kings Langley

Kings Langley is an historic English village in Hertfordshire, on the southern edge of the Chiltern Hills area of outstanding natural beauty, and within the London commuter belt. It is the location of the former Langley Palace, which was the Royal palace of the Plantagenet kings of England. The town's parish church of All Saints houses the tomb of the first Duke of York, son of Richard III. Richard II was also buried here before being removed to Westminster Abbey, for which reason Langley Palace features in William Shakespeare's play Richard II.

This is an attractive village that retains many listed buildings from the various eras, and offers the ideal location for those seeking close proximity to all the sites and attractions of London and the English South East but would prefer the vantage point of a pleasant and welcoming village. It offers a well-stocked high street with good shopping prospects in the wider area, a varied choice of holiday accommodation, and plenty of traditional pubs and family entertainment venues. Attractions in the area include St Alban's Cathedral, the Forge Museum, Rye Meads Nature Reserve, Mountfitchet Castle Experience, and the Celtic Harmony Camp.
