Killington

Killington is a village in the South Lakeland District, of Cumbria, close to England's Lake District National Park. Killington gives it's name to Killington Lake, which is a reservoir that feeds the Lancaster canal. Killington Beck, which serves the lake, originates in the peaks of the Lake District near Kendal, and is a popular beauty spot for local visits, with numerous walking routes and traditional pubs to guide the way.

The reservoir is also a popular fishing site, and is stocked with rainbow and brown trout, pike, tench, and bream. Day tickets are available although it is prohibited to enter the beck without a ticket.
