Kettleholm

The village of Kettleholm in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland is set amidst truly beautiful countryside that is fertile and rich with diverse wildlife habitats, flora and fauna. The area is very popular with anglers, bird watchers, walkers and outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy the abundant fishing and plentiful choice of scenic walks that this part of Dumfries and Galloway is well known for.

 

Kettleholm is a pretty village that is within easy reach of Lockerbie and other well developed towns and villages, in an area that offers visitors plenty to see, do and enjoy; with historic sites and outdoor activity centres as well as visitor attractions, excellent fishing and more. From the bridge across the tributary of the River Annan, there is a particularly lovely walk along the river banks and nearby is the Castle Mill Estate. The 1978 film ‘Thirty Nine Steps’, with Robert Powell was partly filmed in the Kettleholm area.
