At the fertile and beautiful heart of West Yorkshire is where you will find the attractive town of Keighley. The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is one of the most popular visitor attractions in the area and offers the opportunity to journey back in time on one of Britiain's finest heritage railways. It is also the last remaining complete branch line in the country. A journey on the branch line can commence from any of the authentic gas lit stations and travels through some of Yorkshire's finest countryside.

For those who enjoy museums, The Cliffe Castle Museum specialises in Natural History and Geology. Some of the permanent exhibitions here include a working beehive of live honey bees, Keighley's Civic Regalia, local stained glass, old dolls and toys, musical instruments, domestic bygones and costumes. Cliffe Castle was once described as a modernised Tudor Castle in the Victorian Era". Originally called Cliffe Hall, from 1875 Butterfield extended the grounds from 20 to 300 acres the renovation of the house lasted 8 years.

If transport is your interest, The Keighley Bus Museum has a collection of over 50 buses and coaches date back from 1927 to the late 1970's and is split between Dalton Lane Mills in Keighley and Denholme House Farm in Denholme.

Whilst visiting the area, do be sure to include a visit to Haworth, where the Bronte connection abounds. Attracting over 1 million visitors per year, Haworth is situated just 3 miles outside Keighley and is surrounded by beautiful, moorland that is such a glorious feature of Yorkshire.
