Hemsby

Hemsby is a pretty and popular seaside village in the English county of Norfolk, near Great Yarmouth, Winterton-on-Sea and Scratby. The centre of Hemsby village is located roughly a mile further inland from Hemsby Beach, which faces constant erosion. The village itself if quite traditional, with a convenience shop, a hairdresser, a few restaurants and a handful of traditional pubs, while the beach area provides the traditional seaside amusements, arcades, fish and chip restaurants, and fairground rides for which the town has become such a popular tourist destination. Holiday accommodation is varied and plentiful in Hemsby, which also boasts excellent transport links by which visitors can explore the rest of this historic county. Attractions in the local area include the Great Yarmouth Racecourse, the Elizabethan House Museum, The Tolhouse, Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth Life, and the Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre.
