Haverigg

Haverigg is an ancient fishing village and quiet seaside resort on the historically significant south-western coast of Cumbria, in England, in an area that was historically part of Cumberland. This is an attractive little village that has for generations now also been a breeding reserve for terns and common seals, at the mouth of the Duddon Estuary. It boasts an extensive and peaceful Blue Flag beach and a restored lighthouse, as well as a traditional way of life that provides an excellent location for a good old-fashioned English holiday.

Popular attractions within easy reach of the village include the famous Ravenglass to Boot Ratty Railway; Millom's castle, and folk museum; Wastwater, the deepest of the lakes; and Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain. The Hodbarrow RSPB Nature Reserve is also close by, on the edge of Hodbarrow Lagoon.
