Hatfield is a small and pretty village neighbouring Leominster in the English county of Herefordshire. It occupies a quiet location among an knot of hamlets, 13 miles from the county town of Hereford. There Herefordshire Trail passes through the village, which makes it a very popular rest point for travellers, who often take advantage of the traditional pubs of the town. There is a good choice of holiday accommodation in the area, including the Fair View caravan site, in the village, as the town is quite a popular tourist destination, in part because it is the location of Hatfield House, the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I. The grounds of Hatfield still feature the famous Queen Elizabeth Oak, said to be the place where she was informed of her ascension to the thrown.
Other attractions in the area include Aldenham Country Park, the Royal Air Force Museum London, Willows Farm Village, the Royal National Rose Garden, Keats House, and the Freud Museum.
